Blue Mountains Winter Day Trip: A Perfect Seniors Excursion

This June, Live Easy Social brought over 50 older adults from Southwest Sydney on a warmhearted winter outing to the stunning Blue Mountains. As part of Scalabrini Communities, a leading provider of aged care and home care services, we know how vital social support and community connection are for seniors’ wellbeing. Our day trip combined breathtaking scenery, cozy moments, and plenty of laughter, proving that age is just a number when it comes to adventure!

Highlights of Our Blue Mountains Excursion

Scenic Coach Journey: We departed from Mt Pritchard in our comfortable coach, watching rolling hills and eucalyptus forests glide by. A relaxing start to our social support adventure.
Morning Tea by Wentworth Falls Lake: Attendees savoured baked goods, snacks and steaming tea and coffee lakeside, enjoying the gentle ripple of the water and new friendships formed.
Iconic Three Sisters Photo Stop: At Echo Point lookout, our seniors marvelled at the Three Sisters rock formation, capturing memories and sharing stories against a backdrop of blue-hued valleys.
Echo Point Lookout Café & Picnic Lunch: We never force our community to buy lunch at cafes. Some of our attendees enjoyed the lunch at the cafe with their friends and some had a outside picnic in the garden right beside the cafe in the sun. This fueled conversations and camaraderie among our older adult community.
